The Nicola Valley Rodeo Association (NVRA) stands as a beacon of western heritage and equine sports enthusiasm in the picturesque Nicola Valley, British Columbia. With deep roots in the community and a longstanding tradition of excellence, the NVRA is proud to own and operate the Nicola Valley Rodeo Grounds, located on the outskirts of Merritt. Our association is dedicated to fostering a vibrant rodeo culture, celebrating the spirit of the west, and providing unforgettable experiences for both participants and spectators.
At the NVRA, our mission goes beyond organizing rodeo events; it's about creating a legacy. We strive to promote, encourage, develop, and protect opportunities for western and equine sports in the Nicola Valley. By producing an annual professional rodeo, along with various community events throughout the year, we aim to preserve the rich western heritage of our area and bring people together in celebration of this enduring culture.
The Nicola Valley Rodeo Grounds are a testament to our commitment to the community and the sport. Following significant upgrades, our facilities now feature a large event arena, warm-up arenas, covered stands that can seat up to 2500 guests, and modern amenities including over 50 enclosed box stalls, outdoor pens, and state-of-the-art washrooms and showers. With recent improvements like complete electrical upgrades, night lighting, and solar panels, we're proud to offer a venue that is not only functional but also environmentally conscious.
Our main focus is to provide an outdoor community venue for a growing variety of events
